Bill Spear
OwnerBill obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. Bill is also a Certified Clinical Nutritionist. He received his 2 year post graduate degree from the Clinical Nutrition Certification Board. Bill provides private consultations to patients to help promote optimal health and to prevent nutrition related diseases.
Bill is a 30-year veteran of custom compounding. He has received extensive training from PCCA (Professional Compounding Centers of America). He is experienced in all aspects of customized compounding including pediatric compounding, veterinary compounding and Bio Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy for women and men. Bill is a member of Professional Compounding Centers of America’s (PCCA) Concierge Group, which is a specially selected group that networks nationally with other experts in the field of compounding.
Bill was selected from over 3,000 pharmacists to be Professional Compounding Centers of America’s (PCCA) pharmacist of the month for December 2005. He was chosen for this honor based on his dedication to quality standards in pharmacy compounding and for his constant commitment to his community and his patients.
Bill lectures to many health service organizations across the country. His topics range from Nutritional Supplements, Male “Andropause” Therapy, Natural Hormone Replacement Therapy for Women, Down’s Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, and Anti-Aging to name a few. Bill also appeared on NBC news Health Beat, The New Yorkers Television Show in NYC and was also featured on the “Your Life” TV show as the natural medicine expert for his knowledge of natural bio-identical hormone replacement and nutritional counseling. He also was a featured speaker at the Food and Health Expo and the Center for Advancement in Cancer Education in Philadelphia to name a few.
His professional memberships include: Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association, American Homeopathic Pharmaceutical Association, American Society of Natural Products, PCCA (Professional Compounding Centers of America), IACP (International Association of Compounding Pharmacists), International American College of Advancement in Medicine, Center for Advancement in Cancer Education, National Association of Hospital Pharmacists, International College of Integrative Medicine and International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionists.
Bill is very active in his community as well. He is past chairman of the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce and Past President and Board Member of the American Cancer Society Hazleton Unit. He has also served his community in the past as a board member of the American Red Cross, Hazleton Rotary Club, Hazleton Healthcare Foundation, and United Way. He is a current board member of Downtown Hazleton Alliance for Progress (DHAP), Chairman of the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Downtown committee, Lehigh Valley Hospital Network Board of Associates, Hazleton Can-Do Board Member and is a past board member of the BOC (Board of Certification).
Bill lives in the Hazleton Area with his wife, Marylynne, and their three sons, Billy, Evan, and Zander.
