Description
Silymarin is a milk thistle extract that nutritionally supports liver function. This highly active botanical protects the liver from free radical damage, supports glutathione concentrations and promotes superoxide dismutase activity. Milk thistle has been show to stimulate protein synthesis in hepatic cells. Milk Thistle may be especially well suited for individuals with excessive or chronic exposure to environmental toxins, pesticides, alcohol, hepatotoxic pharmaceuticals, and other substances damaging to the liver. Tumeric and artichoke are added for a synergetic effect.
